Here, my good friend Mark (who is visiting from China) and I stopped to grabbed some fuel for the long trip to Berkeley.

This is San Francisco's Chinatown, by night. I wanted to buy some chinese herbs that are probably banned in this country because they're cancer causing or dangerous, but unfortunately all the medicine shops were closed.

Here's Tania and Christine looking sad right before we left. Awww guys, don't worry, we'll be back. They're both swell.

Bum fight in Berkeley

I just got back Tuesday in the early morning from a weekend that I spent in Berkeley. My friend Mark, who is visiting from China, and I drove there to visit his sister and some friends.

Berkeley is a totally run down and old, but seriously cool college town with a sweet Bohemian feel to it. Though I love San Diego, Berkeley has a special eclectic appeal to it, almost like vintage clothing or antiques.

I even saw two bums getting into it with each other. My favorite part was when one bum threw and umbrella at the other bum and shouted something totally incoherent. Really sweet.

Pictures to follow as soon as I find the cable for the camera.

One rubber ducky, bruised knee and work of art

Well, I've had a really crazy and great winter break. Two of my good friends returned for Christmas and New Years and I've been having the best time since they've been here.

A rubber ducky that was given to me by a friend as a Christmas present.

Here's Tania drawing the duck. She actually stayed up all night working on the duck painting, using cheap paints and cardboard as her canvas.

Tania and I even went on a night mission to score some food around 4 am,

Here's a painting of the rubber ducky. It's actually a pirate ducky. It's really a nice piece of art. Looks great on the wall. Really, it does.

Oh, and here's my knee. It's more impressive in person. I got part of this wonderfull condition after wrestling with my friend Joe at his house during a party. The other damage to the knee occured when, at the same pary, about five of my friends decided to hold me down while Christine attempted to put lipstick on me.

That's right. I fought them off.
